Important Reminders for the Big Day

Thank you for registering to participate in our RUN Charity Race – we can’t wait to see you out on the trails! A few reminders…

Race kit pickups
You can collect your bib and t-shirt/buffs from our favourite running store, Gone Running (16/F, Simsons Commercial Building, 137 Johnston Road in Wanchai), from 5th-9th November (11:00am-8:00pm). If you are unable to collect your bib, please email to ensure that these will be at the start line. P.s. Gone Running will be offering discounts on purchases made during the race pack collection for registered runners!

Event-day arrival
Please arrive at Tai Tam BBQ Area Site 2 (see detailed directions here) no later than 8:40am. Bag storage will be available at registration. All adult categories (14km, 19km, 19km team of 2) will kick off at 9:00am.

Kids race
We’ve still got a few spaces remaining, so sign your kids up to join you! The kids race will kick off at 11:00am at the same place as the adult races. Kids do not need to pick up bibs, but if you have ordered a t-shirt/buff, you are welcome to pick it up from Gone Running (details above). Kids under the age of 8 MUST run with a parent or guardian. Payment should be made in cash on the day (suggested donation of HK$150+).

Green policy
In order to reduce waste, we are implementing a no cups or plates policy. Please bring your own refillable bottle or bladder during the race, and your own plate and cutlery for food at the finish area. Also no pins will be distributed so please ensure you bring your own or a bib belt.

Photo policy
We encourage you to take lots of photos of the race and share them on social media with the hashtags #RUNcharityrace and #RUNwithrefugees! However, in order to protect the privacy of our refugees who will be participating in the race as runners or volunteers, please do not take any photos of any refugees.

Race rules

  • Please follow the markings on the course. The colour of these will be announced before the race start.
  • Please be nice to the volunteers at checkpoints and listen to their instructions.
  • All runners must have 1L capacity of water in refillable bottles or bladder.
  • Bibs must be worn on the front of your clothing. (No pins will be distributed, so make sure you bring your own or a bib belt.)
